I started running again and am planning a 5 mile race in April, a 10K in May and hopefully find a 1/2 marathon to run in early summer.
Well - I ran 2 miles yesterday - UGH - I am so out of "running shape". It takes a whole different kind of person to run, and I forgot that; I can do a Cathe tape, but running is a whole different ballgame. I've ran a 1/2 marathon before and was in pretty good shape, but since then lost it (but getting it back).
Whew - that 2 miles just about did me in and I couldn't believe it. I used to run 5, 6, 7 miles without hardly much effort and now 2 is a struggle!!! I can't wait to get to that point again where I can just go out and run for an hour and not worry about it.
I know - it will come!!
