Don't worry too much about where you placed. I always look but remind myself not to take too much stock in it. You need to do YOUR personal best and that's it. If you happen to end up high in the ranks that's great but if not, who cares! You are just as AWESOME as the folks that came in ahead of you and don't ever think any differently!
BTW, I came in 26th out of 29 in my age group, 159th out of 211 for my gender and 546th out of 640 overall.
