runner turned to cathe video

I am a runner, nothing extreme, but I usually run several miles at least 4 days a week. But I want to start doing Cathe videos to develop my upper body more. Any suggestions for an in-shape first timer? I have never really done work out videos before. But a friend of mine said Cathe's stuff would be a great place for a person like me to start.

welcome to the boards leslie,

as most of suggested before the gym styles. i don't have these myself but have done slow and heavy series and the pyramids. both are great for heavy weight work and define muscles. the gym styles and slow and heavy split up the muscle groups(triceps/biceps,legs/shoulders and the combos go on) where the pyramids does one whole workout for upper body and one for lower. all are good to mix up rotations.

these are just ones i have worked with other then full body workouts like power hour, maximum intensity strength, and a few others.

Hi Leslie...I am a runner too. I have done Cathe workouts for a long time. Are you just interested in weight workouts? Kassia is right with any of the GS workouts. I also like the Pyramid workouts for upper body strength. I'd say a good DVD to start with might be the Power Hour one. 3 weight workouts and some step and power leg circuits. Welcome to the forum...:)...Carole
