HI Beverly,
I posted a different thread b/c I didn't know if you would keep checking the other one.
I noticed later today(when I was getting ready for my run) that you had the speed ladder run posted.I was wondering earlier what it was but I never bothered to ask.
Well...I jotted it down and posted it on my treadmill. And what a run it was! WOW! I work pretty hard when I run but this was the hardest I have worked in a long time.
Thanks for posting it.I bet it is a great plateau buster.I think I may do it 2 times a week.
Thanks again....and to anyone who is thinking about trying it..you should!

Lori,

I am glad you liked it.. This workout has helped my running endurance and I think helped me bust a plateau I was in.

Go for it. When feeling energetic I throw in 4-5 cycles at the end.
Instead of the 5 min at 6.0 mph I will do

1 min 8.0
30 sec 6.0
1 min 8.0
30 sec 6.0
1 min 8.0
30 sec 6.0

You got the point. Sometimes four or five cycles of this and you really get in a little extra... Then cool down with 5 minutes of 5.7.

Enjoy.

Hi Beverly,
I copied a couple of good runs from my shape mag as well. They were 10 min interval runs and I think one of them may have been the ladder type run.
Got any more good runs up your sleeve?
I am going to take it a little easier tonight b/c my knees tend to act up if I do to much pounding.I am going to go for mileage tonight but if I feel energetic, I am going to add a couple of burst in,maybe for the last mile.
I don't thinki could of added that on last night b/c I ate broccoli and carrots last night for dinner and I had a bad belly.Didn't help but I managed.See I knew i shouldn't of been eating my veggies!:)
Lori:)
