I thought I'd move this discussion over to the Open Forum from "Ask Cathe" for some non-Cathe input.
Yen, I think Janice hit the nail on the head when she suggested that your running aches are probably from a lack of base miles. Maybe it's the shoes or something else, but it doesn't seem that you established a base of low intensity running before you launched into high intensity runs. Those early run/walks aren't just for couch potatoes without cardiovascular training, it's to accustom your joints to the pounding. I don't think many people could establish a sufficient base for high intensity or endurance running with just 2 runs per week. It's not even enough for non-impact performance cycling. That's just my 2 cents.
If your runs or any activity are leaving you in pain, something's wrong that needs to be addressed. You may need to give your body a break & then build a running base with a well thought training plan.
