Rowing Machine recommendations??

I would like to purchase a rowing machine for my PT business. Also, I would like to purchase a StairClimber (not a basic stepper machine).

Does anyone have a favorite? I am looking at WaterRower but would like to hear any suggestions first as there are SO many from which to choose. Thanks!!!

We have the Concept 2 rower and I love it. It's smooth, easily adjustable and folds up for storage if you need that option. I never cared for rowing much until DH bought this and now I'm a convert. HTH and let me know if you have any specific Concept 2 questions.

Thanks ladies.

Yes, LM - the rolling stair climber. I already have a stepping machine. But I want that escalator-type stair climber! VEry expensive though!

You are so mean! But in a good way, of course. ;) That thing is tough--when you watch someone on it, it looks like they're going sooooooo sloooooooooow, but it is one tough w/o!

I'm with Patti--go with Concept 2. I have one and I don't use it much, but DH does and he loves it. And they last forever.

Hi Clarissa,

I'm also a PT, and I have a small home studio where I train my clients. I have a Spinner bike, Life Fitness Elliptical, and a Concept 2 Rower. I was lucky enough to find a Concept 2 on my local Craigslist at a very cost effetive price. granted, it's an older model C, but it certainly does the job well for my clients. I'd also like to add a Schwinn Airdyne and a Precor Elliptical for variety, but there's only so much that can fit in a 1-car garage. We have a ton of equipment in a very small space.

Anyway, I digress. I highly recommend Concept 2. They have incredible customer support, and they definitely stand by their product. Even though I didn't buy my rower from them directly, they still sent me replacement parts for free (there was a worn out piece on mine), and they are just incredible all the way around. My gym also has concept 2 rowers. they newere models are definitely nice, but the older ones are just as good. I do encourage you to check Craigslist. You can find great deals, and there are alot of ppl who are practically giving things away these days to make ends meet.

Hope this helps!
