Round Ligament pain and working out

Hi all mom's and mom to be's! I could use some advice.

I am now 25 weeks pregnant and finding it harder and harder to workout. The motivation is there, but I am really slowing down now.

I have pretty bad round ligament pain, and find it hard to do any lower body workout at all. I was wondering if anyone has any insight they could share? I'd love to keep my legs in shape while pregnant if possible.

(Also, any preggies notice how hard it is to do push ups? I now have to do them on my knees)!

Thanks all and best of luck with your little ones.

Ugh. More power to you. I've given up completely on push-ups, using the nice convenient excuse that I'm pregnant. As for the round ligament pain, I'm 26 weeks, but I haven't experienced that yet. Sorry I can't help you there. I do have a slight pinch in the sciatic area, but I have noticed that it improves with yoga, aerobics, and swimming. HOwever, it is exascerbated by walking!

I had that when I was pregnant with my son (about 2.5 years ago). The dr. told me to get a support belt, and it helped. Look for a large elastic velcro belt that you can wear underneath your tummy. It sounds strange, but it helped. I remember walking and my legs would just give out due to the problem with the round ligament. It felt so strange! Good luck. I am curious to see if anyone else offers other suggestions.
