Rotation using PS series and PH

Hi Cathe,

I need your opinion about a strength training rotation using both your PS series and Power Hour. My goals are to gain strength, but also to increase my muscular endurance. I am looking to tone and shape my total body, without putting on much muscle mass. I have created a rotation in which I would use both the PS series for strength and Power Hour one day a week for endurance (I LOVE doing Power Hour!!)

Monday: PS C/S/T
Tuesday: no weights
Wednesday: PS BBA
Thursday: Power Hour (excluding back & biceps)
Friday: Power Hour back and biceps sections
Satuday: PS Legs and Abs

As for cardio, I will be doing 5-6 days per week with running and your tapes since I am looking to lose body fat also.

Is it okay to combine these two types of workouts in my rotation for the goals I want to achieve?

Thank you and I just want to say that nothing compares to your workouts!! I hope the new baby is doing well! My sister is due at the end of July with her first. I can't wait to be an aunt.

Okay, I am clearly not Cathe, but how about this:

Sat. PS C/S/T and a CTX cardio portion (optional)
Sun. Cardio video
Mon. PS B/B/A and arm drills from CTX kickbox (or a CTX cardio)
Tue. PS S/L/A
Wed. Cardio video
Thu. Power Hour
Fri. Rest

The cardio on Sat. and Mon. is optional, I just did them when I had energy and to prepare myself for my next rotation which included doing all of Body Max at once. By all means, this is just a suggestion, but I did this rotation and it worked great for me! Have fun!!!

Hi Amy

I am not Cathe, but I am currently doing this rotation and I like it.

Mon: PS c/s/t + 1/2 hour of cardio
Tues: 1 hour of cardio plus the lying down portion of PS legs
Wed. PS BBA + 1/2 hour of cardio
Thurs 1 hour cardio-- intense
Friday 1 hour cardio--intense
Sat: Power hour ( and if I am feeling good, 1/2 hour of cardio)
Sun: Rest

It seems like that is working well for me. If you want to build more definition in your legs, you might want to do the standing floor work for PS Legs instead of the floor work that I have listed for Tuesday. ( My legs seem to bulk when I do too much standing work, and with the leg work in Power Hour that seems to be enough for my body type.)

Good Luck!
Lynn

Hi ,

Thank you for your suggestions! I'm going to stick with keeping the PS series and Power Hour in my rotation using your ideas above. Hopefully, I will also get great results!
