Rotation P90X Like

I have P90X, but no longer have a chin up bar (we moved and there is really not a good place for one anymore). I was wondering if any of you have done a P90X like rotation using the gym styles or Slow & Heavy and what your results were. Thanks!

I came up with a Gym Styles P90X-like rotation (I posted it in the "rotations" forum, but it was quite a while ago), and I did it for about 4 weeks.

As I expected, I didn't get near the strength gains as I did with P90X (the sequence of exercises and the stretches incorporated without in the workouts in P90X are key, I believe), but the lower body results were better. Nothing Earth-shattering or to make me go "wow," BUT I didn't stick with it as long as I did with P90X (I did the whole 90-day rotation...even though it took me about 110 days to do so!).

Thanks Kathryn! I'll look for your rotation. I'll probably end up buying the chin up bar thing that Beachbody sells at some point so that I can do P90X again.

Do you have tubing? If so, you could sub the chin ups for tubing. It would be easy to close a door and put the tubing inside the closed door. Probably not as intense as chin ups but just a suggestion. When I do P90X, I rotate from chin ups on my door attachment to using tubing just to change it up a bit. ;-)

When I started P90X, I didn't have heavy tubing OR a pull-up bar, so I substituted heavy pullovers and one-arm rows for the pull-ups/chin-ups. Then I bought the heaviest bands BB offers (B-lines) and started using them...though I do NOT recommend getting the door attachment kit from BB.

The attachment seems not sturdy enough (or thick enough) to safely stay between the door and the sill on the top of the door---which is where you need to put it for pull-downs, then kneel away from the door to get a good ROM). I bought a door attachement from www.sissel-online.com that is not going to pop out of the door no matter what! Instead of just a double thick end, it has a big foam "wheel" that keeps it safely wedged in the door frame. And they cost less than $3 each (instead of $29.945 or whatever for the BB attchment kit...which does contain other items, but which I never used).
