Roadtrip Priorities for me

If I am lucky enough to go....

I can only speak for myself, but this is how I am prioritizing the RT events...

Meeting my fellow forum members who have been a source of humor and inspiration for me

Meeting the rest of Cathe's crew

Being able to relax and share some good food and laughs

Being able to put whipped cream on my pancakes without DW knowing...shhhh...:9

The actual workouts themselves...no step for me, though....really looking forward to Kickbox!

Being able to escape my job for a weekend..(I really hope my boss isn't a forum member here...if she is, sorry, Crystal, we need to talk about my weekend off in late July!)

I'm with ya on your priorities. I'm really nervous though because I don't know anyone. I'm kinda shy. I hope I am also lucky enough to get in on the road trip. I'm not a very good stepper myself. I hope everyone else will screw it up like me and I will feel right at home. Hope we meet soon.

Christie...

I understand about nerves, very common, but I've had the chance to meet Cathe and Cedie, and can tell you that they will quickly make you feel at home, as I'm sure fellow RT'ers will.

When Cathe is teaching step, I fully intend on either just watching, or hopping on one of the treadmills at the gym until class is over.

If I were to try step, the result would probably be similar to falling dominos, with me as lead domino!!

Hope to meet you!

Jerry - I am a klutz at step too so I set my step (topper only) up in the back of the class and did as much as I could, which was basically the warmup. After that, I just walked around the perimeter of the room and snapped photos and took video.

I REALLY would love to go to the road trip, but am also very scared. Not of the workouts, but of traveling alone and not knowing anyone. DH says "do what I want" but with a negative tone! Not sure what to do!:-(

I'm not one that likes to travel alone either BUT, once you get there, you will have a blast even if you don't know a soul. There is something about Cathe that attracts people that just love to exercise and be together. Please don't be scared. Also, if you make it in, you can come here more often and get to know some of us online. You'd be surprised how many of us have hesitations, insecurities and fears but once we gather, all fear is gone. Hope you make the cut!

I actually said the same thing to my husband I will be traveling alone assuming I get a spot and I was also feeling nervous because I wouldnt know anyone but it does sound like fun

April,

I felt the same way last year when I went. My DH was very hesitant about sending me off by myself to NJ. Once I landed at the airport, I found some other Cathe fans looking for the shuttle. We all introduced ourselves and took the shuttle to the hotel together. Once at the hotel, everyone was introducing themselves to each other. Everyone felt welcome. So don't worry and have fun!
