I am late to the shower again!!!!

Workout for today
Cardio Coach 4, Total workout 47 minutes, run 43.22, 2.92 miles (I know, should have made 3) 448 calories burned, 82% ave, 99% max - I had to change it because my body hurts and I knew I would not be able to go an hour!

Nutrition for Today
B - ww tortilla, canadian bacon, bell pepper, mushrooms, tomato, glass milk
S - cellery and carrots
L - chicken breast, salad with romain, tomato, green onion, oil and vinegar dressing
S - cellery and cheese
D - venison steak, broccoli

I had a great weekend but I am tired this morning!!!! Off to wshower and go to work!
 
Good Morning Road Trippers!!!Happy Monday!I didn't get a chance to post yesterday, but I did a 5 mile interval run on the treadmill. Today, I am going to do the 3 set premix of Push and Pull (except for the abs and lower back part-I am going to do Slim in 6 abs instead) and the bonus cardio that Cathe had as part of the April rotation. Yesterday, I was a little down. I was getting ready for church and realized most of my dress pants were tight.:-( I have been really struggling with eating clean for the past couple of weeks. I am definately an emotional eater and there has been a lot of stressful things going on. I find myself reaching for the junk more often than not. BUT..I decided yesterday that it is a new month and a new start so I am really going to focus on eating clean.

Kathy-It looks like you had a great workout. I noticed you have venison steak on the menu for dinner. I love venison!!We eat it all the time.

Shelly C. and Wendy(from PA)-PIYO is a pilates and yoga class.:)

I have to go get the kiddos ready for school so I will do more personals later.

Well, I hope everyone had a nice weekend. Weather here was beautiful, after that horrid Texas rain we had Friday night. We ended up with several road closures around us due to high water. One town about 50 miles from us even had a small tornado. As for posting this weekend, I’ve tried multiple times to post, but kept getting distracted. This morning I’m trying to catch up on some weekend personals. I know I’ve missed some of you, but I hope to catch you the next time I get a chance.


Cheryl, wow, hip replacement. Glad you don’t have any pain with it. How do you manage a large family and 2 workouts a day?

ShellyC – Hope you enjoyed the motorcycle ride Saturday. It’s that time of year. Nice weather, nice rides. Hope your run was good too. I can’t imagine 12 miles.

Belinda; hope you enjoyed your rest day.


Kara – that’s neat that you work at an animal hospital. Do you enjoy it?

Jennifer, isn’t it amazing how we adjust our workouts after eating something we feel guilty about. I wish I could just get into a habit of adjusting my eating.


Beth, you’re an instructor and a teacher. That’s cool.

Heather, I love reading your posts. Your enthusiasm is contagious. You have such a positive attitude.

Amy, mind wins over body, but make sure you listen to your body if it needs more recovery.

Robin, I can totally relate to the lost posts. I tried several times this weekend and got distracted. Now I am typing in a word document then I’ll copy it our to the thread.

Ivorygorgon, sorry you didn’t like RS. Its moves are some of my favorites. I guess I don’t pay much attention to the music.

Lorrie, hope you made it through you family get together without it turning into a real kickbox situation.

PAWendy, When my mil makes pancakes, I can’t pass them up. They are kind of fried and oh so good. I tip my hats to you and any others that home school. Just helping my dd when she was in school could turn into a nightmare.

Josie, girls night out sounds great. I need more of those. Glad you enjoyed the movie. I told my dh that was one animated movie I wanted to see. Don’t know if he will go with me, but we’ll see.

Kim, wow 3 classes in one day. You’re already prepared for the RT.

Lara, I love it when a rest day turns into a workout day. I seem to have too many of the opposite (workout day turns into a rest day).

Julia, did you survive April Fools Day?

Carole, I never thought of substituting machines for the step portions. I’ll have to try that for variety.

Phyllis, that double upper body BM2 is a killer.

Beth, wow 5 miles on the TM, nice workout and yes, it is a new month and a new start, so don’t let it get you down.

Kathy, I’ve not tried Cardio Coach. Do you like it? Man you, menus amaze me. You are so disciplined.

Well I, off to start the April rotation. It looked like one I could stick with. After that I have jury duty. Fun, Fun.

Good Morning RTers!

Today I pulled out an OLD workout....The Firm Super Cardio Mix. Did anybody else start with the Firm like I did before discovering Cathe? It was not as tough as Cathe but I was definitely sweating!

Beth--I also struggle with clean eating. I would say that I eat clean about 85% of the time, but it is that 15% that prevents me form losing those 7 lbs. I would like to get rid of!! My afternoons are the most difficult time when I come home from work and am hungry!

Beth...good job on the interval run yesterday. Enjoy your workout today. I can also be a stress eater and last week was not a good one! I feel this week will be much better.

Jean...Glad the weather improved for you after Fridays storm. Hope you can wiggle out of Jury Duty...I have had some piriformis issues (basically a pain in the butt!) and step kinda aggravates it which is why I sub my Elliptical for step as I have no pain when using that machine.

Gin...yes, I started with the Firm before Cathe. I still have most of the Older Firm workouts.

I am doing BBC Arms & Abs, 40 min on my Elliptical and floor legs from something...
 
Hey everyone! I've been MIA from this check in for just a few days. But I've been working out none the less!

Saturday was LIC, yesterday was a 10+ mile long run. Today I started the April rotation and am combining it with the remaining month of my running/training schedule. This morning was GS Legs, B&G stability ball abs, and a 2 mile power walk on the TM to loosen up the legs a bit. I was a bit afraid of doing GS LEgs after yesterday's 10 miler, but I was just fine....although now I'm wobbly. lol

Happy Monday ladies. Ooooo - can I join the emotional / stress eating group? Oh yah - already there and often, I feel, the president of that group. Usually it's when my DH is out of town, I have the kids and all my commitments - I'm telling you - if it's not nailed down - I'm eatin' it!!! Ugh!

Carole, like you, last week was a bad eating week for me, but I feel calmer this week and it is like a spiral - so hopefully an upwards one this week where clean eating will prevail.

Beth - can I ask how you do your interval on the treadmill? I always use cardio coach, but since I'm gearing up for my walk (not allowed to run) I've been trying to do longer walks outside. I discovered that the gal who is the top fundraiser for the Cleveland walk (she's already at like $12,000) lives 5 minutes away from me. We're planning a 10-mile walk for later this month.

Gin - I started out as a Firmie way back - liked them until I found Miss Cathe.

Jean - how DO you have the time to keep up on everyone? Any of you all who do the personals like that - ^^^ 5's all around! To you and Phyllis and all who do the April rotation, have fun with it. I've learned that even though I like order and planning - I'm not good with rotations.

Kathy - can I learn to eat from you!? Great job on your menus. (I love CC 4, btw. Do you have Press Play? When IS that "unreleased volume 7" coming out?)

Up at 4:15 and did LIC and GSBSB - got in the whole thing because the monsters are on Spring break. We can never go anywhere fun because DH teaches at a local law school and his break is always 2-3 weeks before our kids. I'm not inclined to take my 3 monsters to Disney by myself. But we may take in Meet the Robinsons today.

Ugh...bad start to the morning. My DH said he set my alarm...but it didn't go off this morning!!! I missed my first class, luckily I didn't have a test or anything due. Still, I hate missing classes x(

I wasn't wonderful this weekend with the clean eating, so it's somethig that I need to work on for this week. Today is PUB, looking forward to it! I was looking at the April rotation, but I don't have the gymstyles. Being a student, I don't have a ton of expendable cash, but do you all think these are a worthwhile investment? I definitely want to expand my Cathe library, it's just the darn money constraints x(

Gin - I started with the Firm about 4 years ago. I definitely got good results, but after a while I was looking for something more challeging, and that's when I found Cathe. I saw her on Fit tv and thought "Wow!!! Who is this?". I never thought I would actually be able to get through one of her workouts, much less go on the roadtrip to do 3 in one day!!!

Weekend went well, my daughter (Amber) came home from her Dad's last night, my son will be staying all week during his spring break.

My eating was ALL clean, I surprised myself....Well, except for the Wawa Coffee w/ extra Irish Creme ... :9
So far today;
B- Egg whites; bacon; grapes - 1 Cup Green tea w/ Splenda
S- Pria Bar
L- South Beach Diet Meal - Garlic Herb Chicken w/ Green Beans
D- Chicken, veggies & Salad
LOTS OF WATER!!!

I'm trying to follow Atkins for Life Eating Plan.....Does anyone follow this? It seems like LauraMax has such good luck with it. Out of all the eating plans, this is the one I come back too, I guess it's easy for me to follow, and I always see good results from it. :)

I to was a little late moving this morning. I hit the Snooze button one too many times this morning, so by the time I got up I was rushing around showering and dressing to get out the door. Don't you hate that...? :x

Tonight is Step Blast & maybe some Yoga, depending on how I feel.
Since it been so nice out lately, I have been getting alot of walks in also w/ the dog....:)
This is W2, D3 of Upper Body Bliss Rotation.

Today is Day5 Legs&Back. I'm such a procrastinator; I'll do it after my girls' music lessons. I need to clean up my eating too. I tallied up everything I ate yesterday and was shocked. ;( I might start food journaling to help keep me on track. Ugh.

Happy Monday...

Well this morning I rode a bike for 45 minutes doing a Coach Troy tape (on a trainer). I am just getting into bike riding because I promised my friend I would ride with her in the MS150 although we would only ride 30 miles. I am not a good bike rider so it will be a challenge for me. I plan to do a TimeSaver workout but I usually let whoever is at the frontdesk of the gym pick which one by giving me a number between 1-5.

Kim - That reminds me that I should break out my bike, It's only sitting outside rusting away. Now that the weather is nicer, it might be a good idea to start, huh? Maybe I should start riding into work, it's only 5 miles or so... :)

Hi Roadtrippers!

Gin - I started with the Firm and still reach for one from time to time. I gradually added more and more of Cathe's workouts to my rotations as my fitness level improved.

Ivorygorgan - I'm sorry you had such a bad time with RS. I really love that workout (not that I'm all the good at it). Thankfully, there are plenty of others to choose from, so we can each have our own!

I'm with everyone who's having a hard time with food. DH and I were just talking about tight clothing this morning.

Saturday was a fun workout day, yeah right! I finished PS CST and was SUPPOSED to take a quick 30 min run, but the phone rang. We had a MAJOR production outage and one of my former employees needed some contact information and a quick conference call with our SVP. While I was on the phone chasing things down, it started raining again. So no running - WAH! x( I did CTX All Step cardio instead.

Sunday I did S&H back and biceps, CTX Step and Intervals cardio and All Step abs and stretch. That was a great workout. Adding the cardio after the weights really helps with the DOMs, too. I lifted really heavy for me (heavier than Cathe mostly) and I'm pleasantly sore today. I'd expected to be really, really sore, but it didn't happen. :7

Tonight, I'll do Rhythmic Step when I get home. Last time I did it, I was just about over feeling like Cathe turned into an alien on the 3rd combo, so hopefully it will all (finally) fall into place!
 
Finally checking in after the weekend!
First, I have to say to KATHY -- I can't believe we're on the same flight -- I'm so excited!!
I only worked out once over the weekend. Saturday was busy carting the kids all over the place and spending time together with the family. But Sunday morning I was able to sneak out and go to a 90-minute yoga class which felt great. Eating was definitely not clean but mine never really is -- I can relate to some of you!! (especially the late-nite snackers!)
I have never done one of Cathe's rotations because I usually don't like things so rigid -- I like to decide what to do each day. But thought I'd give her April one a try since I got the Gym Styles for Christmas and have never done them. But had a busy morning, no breakfast, then tried to do GS Legs and just got tired and wasn't really in the mood -- so I did about half of it. Kind of got discouraged because it's pretty tough. Trying to cut myself some slack and not feel like a loser because I couldn't do every rep!
Oh well, tomorrow is another day!

Lorrie--I've done well so far today with my clean/non-stress eating. I am going to ;have a bowl of yogurt and strawberries in a minute.

Josie--That's exactly how I found Cathe... from FitTV. GS are my favs. Save your $.

Gin-I think I am going to order the GS today...just got our tax refund and DH spends $50 a month on a gym membership (that he hasn't used in 4 months...but that's another story!!!)...so, I think I'm entitled to a little treat. There. I've justified my purchase. Off to order!!!

I love to read what workouts everyone is doing!!!! I am back to doing Cathe this week!!!:7 I did Gym style Chest&Triceps, segment 3 of Coremax, and Gin Miller's Simply Interval. Gin's workout seemed pretty easy for me!!! Perhaps I am ready (gasp!!) for an Imax????:eek:
Well, the eating is not so great.... Over the weekend, I did supplement my usual good stuff with some wine, pizza,cheddar goldfish, etc. I am feeling rather bloated!!!! Well, its a new week, right???:D I will try to get to the personals later on. Btw, does anyone watch the reality show "Workout"? I've seen the last 2 episodes. Talk to ya soon, Nancy~~~~
 
Hi ladies! I didn't get a chance to check in over the weekend, we were very busy cleaning house and doing yard work etc. I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I am back to Slim Series for 4 weeks and did Shape it Up last night. I love that workout.

Since the roadtrip, I've been eyeing a lot of Cathe DVD's to buy. I seriously want them all. My shopping cart at cathe.com has over $300 worth of DVD's just waiting for me to hit process LOL. I know I won't unless DH and my mom decide to get me cathe.com gift certificates for my b-day haha.
