Road Trip Tuesday... 11 days to go!!

Good morning girls.

Just getting us started for today.

I'm having my coffee and PB ( I'm hooked on this Naturally More stuff now!) getting ready to go teach 3 classes today. It's my crazy day. My knee is already "tweaking" just thinking about it. It's been acting up lately, an old dance injury from many moons ago. Anyway, every Tuesday when I teach 3 classes in a day, I think that hopefully it's getting me prepared for next Saturday when Cathe does 3 classes! Although I don't know if anything can get anyone ready for 3 Cathe classes.

Yesterday I wound up doing my own circuit workout. I did PUB, but in between each muscle group I did 10 minutes on my elliptical/treadmill. It actually turned out to be a decent w/o.

Okay, off to get dressed for the sweatfest. Have a great day all... BBL.

G'Morning Ladies :)

I am getting soooo excited!!!

Tonight is Back work and Cardio. Might hit the gym for a good WO on the Elliptical or Treadmill, haven't decided yet. I would like to start the Couch to 5K running program. I think my main problem when I start running is I do too much too fast, and that causing my knee pain :(

Vicki~ Thanks for getting us started today!! Sounds like you had a great workout!! How is your knee? My Ortho told me I had Osteoarthritis and to be extra careful w/ the squats, lunges, & step-ups. I have been modifying and wearing my brace and less weight.
Do you wear a brace? I'm also a little afraid of the 3-4 classes, I'm sure we will be feeling the pain ... }(

Hope everyone is having a Great Tuesday!!

Good Morning RTers!

Today was LowMax and Stretch Max #3 with the resistance band. I did LowMax on an 8" step for the first time today. I don't know why but I never think of using an 8" step.

My back has been bothering me. My DH says just to quit working out until the RT, but that is so hard for me to do!!

Vicki--3 classes today??}( }( You should be quite ready for the RT!! Take care of that knee.

Jennifer--Take care of your knee also.

Gin:)

Today I rode my back from 45 minutes then did push-ups and some circuit training for about 15 minutes.

GOTTA GET MY OUTFITS TOGETHER

KIM-NC

Gin~ Thanks!!
Have you tried Yoga for your back...I heard this was good.
Take Care !!!
I know what you mean, my BF tells me to take it easy all the time, I just feel so quilty if I'm not working out!

Kim~ It seems like you had a great workout!! I'm off at lunch to look for more workout clothes! :) Kohl's today!

Vicki - I sure can't wait to meet you either. You teach so many classes plus you still manage to get in quite a few workouts and did you do the 2 hour dance class last night? How is your PT going? Did you know that you can put your business on your house insurance? I think that would be cheaper.

Kim(NC) - WOO WOO - we only have 10 more days and we will be rooming together jumping off from steps, kickboxing, boot camping, and high stepping - this will be awesome! It was great talking on the phone with you afew weeks ago. I can tell we will get along just fine!

My workout for today will be Body Max 2!

I'm back...

So, I just got back. I taught two classes and then decided to take a jazz class, but I only did an hour then realized in my delirium that I was about to eat my water bottle, so I left. I just came home and woofed down a bowl of oatmeal w/ PP and PB so fast I don't know where it went!!! Tonight I teach my 3rd class of the day.

Cheryl: I had no idea about putting insurance on my homeowners. I will def. look into that. Thanks so much for the info!!

Jennifer: I have a cartilidge problem, or so I think. That's what I was told years ago, but truth be told my pain seems a bit different than in the past so I realize I need to get it checked out. Osteoarthritis? Is there anything you can do for that? well, I guess we'll be gimping around by Sunday, huh??

Gin: Maybe take a littl easy and just take a couple of days off, just so that by the time of the RT you can enjoy yourself! You don't want to be miserable the whole time, right? so, rest up while you can, and next week maybe do a couple of lighter workouts just so the RT isn't shell shock! ( just MHO)

Randi and Kim: have fun with those outfits!! sounds like you guys had some dreat workouts today!

Okay, I think I'm going in for round two, a banana perhaps? And MORE COFFEE!!! Then I will collapse. LOL!

See you all later!

Just got back from Kohl's, bought a pair of Brown Cargo pants and a pair of Tek-Gear work-out shorts...hey, they were 55% off (or was it 60%?)... I would love to purchase all Nike and the like, but my pocketbook is not allowing me :(

Vicki~ Wow, you teach all those classes, where do you get your energy, send some my way :) I would love to take Jazz, I'm afraid I'm going to look like goof, not good at dancing :p
My orthopedic just gave me a prescription and told me to ice every night...I guess I really need to start taking the medicine again, huh? I'm not good w/ this stuff. She also suggested a series of 3-shots over a 3-week period, thick substance put behind my kneecap so my joint moves more freely.

Hi roadtrippers! Got too busy with work yesterday to post but am back on track today:) This morning I ran around my block.
That doesn't sound like much of a workout but I live out in the "boonies" in N. Arizona and my block is more than 10 miles of hills:eek: Later today I'll do the Squeeze workout.... great for toning!

Vicki- quite a marathon day for you! I can't believe you also took in a jazz class. What do you eat for breakfast to give you so much energy? BTW, I love your PUB circuit. I'm going to have to give that a try!

Jennifer- CT5k is a great starter program! Doing too much too soon is a common mistake ALOT of people make which is why so many feel that they can't run because it's too hard on their knees ... or whatever.

Gin- Lowmax is an awesome workout isn't it? Very deceptively hard IMO, it really makes a difference doing it on 8" doesn't it?

Kim- Are you shopping for your outfits today or just sorting them for packing? I'm going to start that process this weekend. I like the idea of putting each outfit into a ziploc bag.

Cheryl- Are you and Kim staying at the Fairfield Inn? That's where I'll be with Carole (Mkmain) and Susan (singinggoddess). Have a good sweaty time with BM2 today. I look forward to seeing some of your karate moves!

Randi- good luck with the shopping today... have fun!

Have a great rest of the day!
