Road Trip Bubble Burst

Lorrie, I wonder if he was just not trying to be funny but it came out wrong. Obviously, you are not fat. Heck! I way more than you & a lot of people have called me skinny.

This is a reality check. YOU ARE NOT FAT! Obviously FIL knows this, so the next question is? Was his demeanor rude & snickering or was he just joking, no matter how lame it came out?

You are being paranoid. Either that or I live in LA-LA Land & I'm a big-ole-heffer that thinks she's nothing more than a dainty ballerina.

Why would you say you were "fat" at that height and weight?? IMHO that is more of a problem than what your FIL said to you!!

Don't feel bad about going on the road trip. You should be proud!!
 
See - I knew I could rely on you guys to get me pumped again. I know you're right - and I KNOW this is not a fat farm concept by any stretch. And I know I'm not fat, though I've always had a poor body image. So I'm sure I just let that comment feed that image. I hope they have fun camping, because my plan is to have an awesome time with you all and take total advantage of this chance to hear and follow Cathe! Thanks ladies!
 
I'm wondering if your fil wasn't using an old fashion version of what is now called a spa. In the late 1980's my boss (woman) would take a week off a couple of times a year to go to a spa. She never referred it as a spa she called it a "fat farm". I always wished I could go to the "fat farm" too. It was some fancy spa in CA.
