Reviews on the Firm Wave or TransFirmer

Could anyone offer some reviews on either the Firm Wave system or Firm TransFirmer? My sister is looking for some new workouts and wondered if these were any good.

Thanks,

Hi!
I've been a Firmie for a long time and to be honest I'd go with the Transfirmer instead of the Wave. The workouts are much tougher, there is more variety and overall give a good moderate workout.

I have the Wave and just haven't gotten into it. As a piece of equipment, it's OK but the videos just don't do it for me. They are really short and because of the Wave don't use heavy enough weights for me to feel like a got a good sculpting w/o. Plus every time I use it my ankles feel strange. The overall concept of the Wave rocking is great, I just don't think the videos are up to par with what I would have wanted, and I bought the deluxe version.

So, from someone who has been Firming for a long time, and has over 100 Firm videos....I'd say the Transfirmer workout system is better. But that's just me.

Good luck in whatever your sister goes with. Oh and tell her DO NOT order through Gaiam directly. They take forever and a day to ship/receive and their customer service sucks. Go through Amazon, QVC (for the Wave I know), or collagevideo.

Though I haven't tried the Wave, I'd tend to agree that the Transfirmer is better. The Wave looks kind of like a 1-trick pony, whereas the Transfirmer is very versatile (and several of the workouts give a really good booty lift!).

The only downside (to both) is that recent Firms like these seem to make a very limited number of workouts for the new equipment, then you never see any more workouts and they go on to the next new piece of equipment. Very frustrating.

I used to do only Firms, and when the Transfirmer workouts came out, I loved them all, except for Allie's Aerobic Body Shaping. The step cardio in ABS is boring...Allie repeats a lot of stuff over and over. It isn't an easy workout, though. The Jiggle-Free add-ons are also pretty good. The music is pretty good in all the Transfirmer workouts, although I liked the music in the BSS3 videos better.

My friend gave me the Wave basic system and I've only done the workouts once, but the were fun. They bothered my knees though, and not much bothers my knees. Could have been my form though since it was my first try. These workouts aren't as hard as other Firm systems, and you don't get much workout time for the money.
