I'm currently 5 weeks post partum and had a C-Section. I teach both step and pump classes and was wondering when to time my return back to teaching classes or even participating in some higher intensity workouts.
Last preg I returned very slowly at about 4 months post partum, but I'm hoping to get into the swing of things a bit sooner and was wanting to hear about other's experiences (whilst also knowing that this is highly individual)
At the moment I've been doing a lot of transverse abdominus work, belly breathing and slowly incorporating some very modified Pilates and am hoping to start doing some swimming and light walking next week. My diastasis has almost returned to normal (I'm about one and a half finger widths separated).
What do you all think? Should I be considering a return to teaching before the year is out?
