Returning to Cathe after a LOOONG break...what's new?

I ordered Cathe's Cardio + Weights and Rhythmic Step a few weeks ago and after somehow coordinating my 2 left feet to actually do the moves :D , I have fallen in love all over again with Cathe's workouts. I hadn't done a Cathe tape in about 5 years (I've been doing a lot of running and going to the gym for my weights) and now I see what I've been missing! I absolutely love C+W and Rhythmic Step...they're so much fun and such great workouts!

Can anyone recommend some of Cathe's newer tapes? I've lost track of what she's produced since the Pure Strength series, I think. I'd love to hear your reviews on them.

Thanks!!! :)

you will get many responses to this post and i don't know where to begin. since i am still waiting for the newest bodyblast dvd's to be ready...i would have to stay BOTH the intensity series and cross train express series. take a look at the 10 minute previews.:p

RE: Returning to Cathe after a LOOONG break...what's ne...

Well...get out the credit card! You definitely have to get the CTX Series, and Intensity Series. While you're at it you should get the new Body Blast Series! Oh, and there's the Slow and Heavy trio! Cathe has been producing the best videos ever and you'll wonder why you stayed away so long!!!

I suggest you go look through the DVD or VHS tabs and read up. As you already must know, Cathe doesn't disappoint!

Personally, right now while waiting on the new Body Blast Series, I am alternating between CTX and the Intensities (you might want to try BootCamp!)

Christmas is coming - you might want to start your list!

Another vote for the Intensity series especially the DVD's! Have fun getting back into the swing with Cathe workouts!

Sounds like me after a 2 yr break...:)

I ended up with all her VHS & or DVD's the beginning of this year minus the PS series & her step n motion video.
As you surely know Cathe does not disappoint when your looking for quality workouts with the added bonus of intensity.

I'd recommend the CTX series plus the Intensity series careful you might end up with all of them too:p

ALL OF THEM! You knew we'd say that right??? Ha! I think the "I" Series is about my fav out of all her series, but before I got them, I loved the CTX Series. You can't go wrong. Just close your eyes and choose any of them, and gradually get them all. Let us know what you decide.

I don't know if you want Cathe's strength or cardio. My absolute favorite workout is the pyramids. You get a very good workout, and I saw good changes in my upper & lower body with this workout. I also love the Muscle Endurance/Boot Camp DVD. I especially like the ME & BC premix. I would also suggest you get the Terminator DVD.

In my opinion the DVD are the best because you get the premixes and you can also put together your own work out. I have used both VHS & DVD and prefer DVD. I will never go back to VHS.

Hope this helps.

Well, I'm going to be the odd man out here...

Hi Sunsdaughter!

I'm going to be the voice of dissent here and mildly disagree with my esteemed buddies:). I think that if you've been away from Cathe for that long, my choice for the VERY BEST bang for your buck to get re-started would be the Cross Train Express DVD series. I say that because CTX really does have it all. Outstanding time-efficient strength/endurance work for legs and upper body, great abs sections, five intense cardios including hi/lo, step, circuit work, interval work and kickbox, and killer music (IMHO :)).

Now, if your wallet is STILL needing a little stretch after all that, then I say go for the rest of the Intensity Series. With that series Cathe kicked it up a few notches, and you'll find that there is a whole new focus on core work and stability ball work that will just slay you.

I think Cathe's workouts have become progressively more challenging and more interesting, and her DVD's get better and better and better, in terms of just sheer choice of pre-mixes and combos available.

You're going to enjoy getting reacquainted with her -- and with us! Welcome back!!

P.S. Everybody's right about one thing -- you will most definitely end up wanting EVERY Cathe tape! Can you say "WORK THAT MASTERCARD!!" ?? }(

RE: Well, I'm going to be the odd man out here...

:D The new "Body Blast" series for sure! Also, as the others mentioned: CTX, Intensity Series, PS and S&H. Have Fun!

Thank you all so much for your suggestions!! :D
I think I'm going to order one or two each from the Intensity, Cross Train Express, and Body Blast series. Her workouts are soooo good for mixing up with my running routine. :)
