It's been over 6 months now since recuperating from adrenal fatigue and my dr. has now given me the green light to move on with more execise! However, I'm now rethinking my routine so as not to wind up back to the state I was in! I have decided this time to try and work out, not so much MORE, but SMARTER and I'd love to get your program/workout suggestions and ideas for my new routine (see below).
Monday: A total body workout utilizing heavy weights using kettlebells, dumbells, and/or resistance bands. Compound exercises, exercises that work multiple muscles of the body at one time.
Tuesday: Yoga
Wednesday: Pilates, Ballet/Barre and Core Exercises
Thursday: A total body workout using body weight exercises, lighter weights/bands in intervals (toning with bursts of cardio)
Friday: Rest/stretching or restortative yoga
Saturday: Kickboxing
Sunday: hiking, kayaking, gardening, walking
dvds that I currently own (but am open to suggestions!):
1. X-Train (I preordered and received around Christmas time, but was unable to do due to the adrenal fatigue..it's still in the shrink wrap!!!)
2. STS (including Total Body workout and Abs Circuit)
3. Gym Style (including Muscle Max)
4. L.I. Trisets
5. L.I. Afterburn
6. Butts & Guts
7. Kick, Punch & Crunch
8. High Reps
9. Travel Fit
10. HIIT
11. Cardio Core Circuit
12. MMA Kickbox
Note: I am not looking to lose any weight, only to maintain, build strength and add muscle tone back! Any suggestions as to what workouts would fit with this new routine of mine would be greatly appreciated! So happy to be feeling strong again and looking forward to working out with you again!
