Results doing P90X

I could swear I saw this post elsewhere, but I didn't see it on my cursory glance- sorry if I am rehashing. I just got my P90X set last night and am thinking about keeping it after the free trial period. The workouts are like nothing I have now and I think it might be really fun to try! What I want to know is what kind of success you have seen with this routine. Which rotation did you do? Did you stick with it for the 90 days? How did you do?

Hi Woodie! I did it for the complete 90 days & I did the Classic rotation. I saw more definition especially in my back from all those pullups & chinups + more definition in my abs. My arms got bigger but not "cut" nor did I lose any weight but from what I understand from everyone on the P90X forum at Beachbody nobody really lost weight from this program. They all started w/Slim n 6 then moved on to Power 90 & then they did P90X & everyone saw more muscle definition. My cardiovascular had increased also after doing Plyo X every week. The Lean rotation is lacking in strength training. Enjoy (I think) LOL HTH, Kathy:D
 
Hi Woodie! If your looking to lose weight, I would suggest you stick w/Cathe (cardio) incorporating more cardio into your program & eating clean every day. I would also do 1 cheat meal a week. Tony's cardio is practically nonexistent except for PlyoX.Ha! You can do the strength training from P90X but substitute Cathe's cardio. This way I believe you'll lose the weight that you want. The Lean rotation of P90X is just ok IMO; it doesn't have enough strength training & the women have complained about it. If you follow Michi's Ladder keeping to Tiers 1 & 2 you should lose a considerable amount of weight. I didn't care for the nutritional guide that came w/P90X. Traci Morrow (foodnazi) & Dawn (Absmom) & her husband have had phenomenal success & their now coaches. They help out so many people. Please check out their threads on Beachbody. Dawn is especially knowledgeable in all aspects of nutrition & I believe she's a caterer to boot.

Did you ever find out where to install the pullup bar? This tool is essential to gaining the strength that you want. Can you install something in order for you to use the band instead? Take care, Kathy:D

I was planning to sub Taebo and Cathe for Kenpo X- that one doesn't look inspiring to me. And I was thinking about adding step at some point. I was going to do Classic - what do you think?

I am on South Beach Diet - I haven't looked at the nutrition guide well but at first glace I thought I would be fine just statying on South Beach. Michi's Ladder - found it. Kinda looks like what I'm doing now with SBD! Thoughts?

I was going to try and throw bands over my videogame cabinet and do a back excercise that way - thoughts?
