Resorts on Table Rock Lake in Missouri?

Cathlete
DH and I just purchased our first boat last September and want to take a family vacation to Table Rock Lake this summer. Does anyone know of any wonderful resorts that have boat slips? I'm NOT a camper, so we're looking for a condo or hotel/nice motel type of resort. A pool is not needed since hopefully we'll be boating every day!

I can't help you with your question. I just wanted to add that Table Rock Lake is beautiful. You will have a wonderful time.

No suggestions, but oh that sounds like fun!

I haven't been there in over a decade (went to college at Southeast Missouri State) but the question reminded me of the beauty of that part of Missouri. Anyway, only suggestion I have is something I found online: http://www.tablerocklake.com/lodging/ Looks like some stuff to explore on that website.

Paula,

It depends on the price range you have in mind.

The Kimberling Inn in Kimberling City, MO is a great place. It has nice motel/hotel units as well as condos. They are very nice and well maintained, and they offer boat slips for vacationers to moor their boats. All the condos have well equipped kitchens, nice eating areas, and some have jacuzzis. There is a restaurant called Ahoy's associated with the complex that offers great food and has entertainment on weekends. There is also a Garden Terrace restaurant that serves breakfast and lunch. If you decide to go there, be sure to ask for a unit with a lake view. The Kimberling Inn has the best view of the lake. It is about 30-35 minutes from Branson and about 20-25 minutes from Silver Dollar City. Here is a link.

If you want to go in grand style, the Big Cedar Lodge is the best place on the lake. It offers many different kinds of accommodations, including hotel/motel, individual cabins, and even private houses. There are all kinds of activities available, pools, several restaurants, etc. I have never heard anything but rave reviews from people who have stayed there. I have eaten at a couple of the restaurants and found the food and the atmosphere excellent. You can moor your boat at their marina, also. It is south of Branson on Highway 65. Here is a link.

Kristi is right. It is absolutely beautiful there, and you will have a wonderful time. I lived in the area for about six years and loved it.

I second Big Cedar Lodge. I have stayed there at least 5 times since it first opened and had a wonderful stay each time. I have not been recently though.

It is a very beautiful resort - a little over-the-top. Think Walt Disney does bass fishing!

Thank you so much for your suggestions! We are really looking forward to this summer. I haven't been to Table Rock since I was little, but have very fond memories. Now I REALLY have a reason to work hard with Cathe to get my body in swimsuit shape!
