Required Reading

Just checking into this board after being busy with everything for the last several weeks. My DH read this book recently he's been telling me about for nearly a month and recommended it to me and friends and coworkers. I've started reading it and it's downright scary, but something I agree should be required reading.

That is so sad. It's terrible that millions of people grow up in such an intolerant, limited environment. I'm sorry to get political, but when people talk about putting religion back into our government, my answer is, name a time when that has ever turned out to be a good thing.

If Islam is like that, then what is the standard. I am Christian and I will never say "my truth is different from your truth." If a bus kills both of us, the truth will still be there!

C. S. Lewis (author) does the closest thing I have found to persuading people into Christianity.

To make this thread on topic- why do we all work so hard with Cathe when we all know we will all die in the end anyway? The answer lies inside us, put in there with a conscience... (hint: eternity!)
