Repeat Mesocyle 1?

Hi Cathe,

I almost completed the Mesocycle 1 from STS. I was wondering, could I actually repeat this cycle again without interfering with the 90 day routine? I want to create better form due to all that I've learned through the variety of exercises. Any thoughts?

Also, the workout manager is great. Just a question, when the weight amount for each exercise is suggested after doing the 1RM I find that I may not have that suggested weight because of the incriment. For instance, 16 pound, 18 pounds etc. What do you suggest doing in that case?

You can just use ankle weights around your wrists. Yeah, they'll be big (wrist weights are better but can be hard to find), but they work fine for the microloading--and they are a LOT cheaper than plate mates or pace weights. HTH!
 
I have been using ankle weight on my wrists also. I do have 1# gloves made by NIKE that I purchased at Dicks Sporting Goods. Sometimes I have to wear both LOL

I am considering repeating meso cycle 1 too, but I am considering using 65% in week 1 instead of 60 % and increase from there. But I will keep week 4 the same. It is just a thought.
 
I set up STS in the calendar to take me through M1 twice. I haven't been working out for about 5 months (life seriously got in the way) and it seemed wise to repeat it. My rationale is that my first time through M1 will help prepare my ligaments and tendons for the rest of the program.

I bought Pace Weights and I LOVE them!! They even work on some of the vinyl coated dumbbells and plates. Of course, wrist weights and/or the weighted gloves are excellent options as well.

Judy, that's a great idea about using 65% in week 1 instead of 60% for the second time around. And it makes sense. Why didn't I think of that? ;)

I am just finishing Meso 1 this week and really am regretting not doing the 6 month rotation repeating each week as I go. I think I'm going to take a rest week, then start meso 1 again using 65% in the first 3 weeks and 70% in the fourth.
