According to May07 issue of Health magazine-

51% of children's foods that refer to fruit (with words or images) on the package actually don't contain fruit. Huh

How true.
But even that is being made un-fruity.
Have you seen the grape/apple things--Grapples, I think? Apples injected with grape flavoring (I think artificial).
 
Oh for crying out loud!! I just googled it, yup, it's Grapples.

Who comes up with ideas like that!!??? If someone wants grapes why don't they just eat it, instead of having an apple that tastes like grapes. UGGGHHH!

When I first saw them, I assumed they were some kind of hybrid (after all, the produce aisle is the one place where you can find real food, isn't it?). Then I read the ingredients and couldn't put it down fast enough (there may be artificial coloring in there as well, I can't recall).>
