Reebok Treadmill & Bike - need warranty????

HI there! I am soooooooooo excited! I just ordered a Reebok Treadmill and Stationary Bike.

I was wondering if any of you have any Reebok equipment and if you think I need to buy the extended warranty? They are approx. $100 for each one and I only want to get one if I really need to.

I don't know much about treadmills so I am not sure how often they break? Do the motors go out very often?

I got the REebok x3000 that has a 2.0 continuous duty motor. I probably won't run much on it only a super fast walk with the high incline. Plus, since I am not a runner I am know I won't hardly ever last longer than 20-30 minutes.

With this kind of use what are my chances of things going bad?

Even though I looked at them at Gart Bros., I bought it on line. The guy at Gart's said the REebok's are awesome and hardly ever go bad???

I am sooo excited to start using these. I am really hoping a change in cardio can help get rid of this last weight I have on my lower body.

Any advice you guys can give would be great. I think I have 30 days to decide on the warranty. :7

How exciting to get new equipment! My sister has the Reebok treadmill and loves it. She has had it for several years and has never needed maintenance on it (She's in the Navy and runs for PT on it). I'm usually very skeptical about extended warranties (although I have purchased them for computer products). What is the regular warranty good for and for how long? Does the store offer an additional (free warranty) on their purchases? Very few extended warranties actually cover common incidents to the point that you would pay nothing. I recommend that you find out what the most common problem is and ask a tech how much those types of problems usually run to fix. In most cases, you'll pay less for actual maintenance than for the extended warranty.
