reebok step

Does anyone use the Reebok step with Cathe's step aerobic videos and does it honestly work ok? I know alot favour The Step company step but I don't think I'd have much floor space with it out to workout in. So I need some unbiased opinions if the Reebok step would be alright.

Hi,

I use the Reebok step and it's fine. I will probably purchase the Step Company's step when this one takes it's toll though. The only thing that the Reebok step lacks for me is the length, but other than that it is a great step.

Aila :)

I have the Reebox step and the Step Co one. I tend to use the Reebox one more often because it's faster to set up. I dont have a problem with the length but I'm short so a taller person might have more issues with it.

I used to use the reebok step but sometimes found that it was just a bit too small for me - for example I found it a little awkward when running on top of or jumping onto the step. I feel "safer" running on top of the full size step! I also feel that since getting the full size step I am getting a better workout, although I am probably just imagining that!

However for the 4 months or so that I used the reebok step, it was perfectly fine for my needs.

I use the Reebok step - it is only a few inches (at MOST) shorter than the club version of the Step Co. step. It is absolutely fine for Cathe's videos and is easier to set up in my opinion, since the pieces lock into the board and you can carry it in one piece.

I used to have the Reebok step and used it for years. There are things about both steps that I like. I do think the Club step is more versatile, though. I am short (5'3") and found that the Reebok step was just a little too short for me to put my feet up on while using it as a bench. I did like that it was all one piece, but eventually, I wore out the holes and the pieces would fall out when I carried it. I think the extra length in the Club step length also makes me work a little harder on the lateral movements. Plus, you can use the risers for the high step. But the Reebok is totally fine if that's what you have now.

I also have used the reebok step for about 10 years. And I have done ALOT of step! It has worked very well and I have only found it a few inches shorter when laying on it for weight training and I leave my feet on the ground instead of on the step. If and when it wears out I would probably purchase the Step Co one. ...:)...Carole
