rediscovered Push/pull - supersets

jazz

Cathlete
I have just put this DVD back into my rotation and really am enjoying it.

I think this one is underated. It doesn't get much talk at VF and even Cathe doesn't put them in her rotations that often.

Last week I did the Push/pull upper body two sets pre-mix and really felt it. I was able to go heavy and I loved the stability ball in some of the exercises.

Last night I did Push/pull lower body two sets and really felt it.

The stability ball work in Supersets is great too. I don't know why these workouts don't get more buzz.

The pre-mixes on these workouts make it easy to modify up and down.

I'm done - just had to share with the only people I know who'd understand.:)

Oh I agree w/ you Jazz! I love this DVD. I think people have the misconception that b/c they are shorter workouts you don't feel them quite as much as some others. I tell ya, if you go heavy and really work it, you will feel it for sure. Plus I love the music in both!!

I love this DVD. I think they are great workouts and I use them all the time. I think they both have a great fun factor to them. And I love the music in them!!:)

I agree Jazz, and could you believe I had this DVD on the yaya swap for a week with no takers?! I figured it wasn't that great since it's been said to be to easy and like you said, not much buzz about it. I've been useing push/pull and super/sets all month and am LOVING them. The pre-mixes can be really tough. But, mostly I've just used them as they are originally. I love the stability ball work and I love that she goes heavy and the count is mostly 2-2. The music is great also. I think these are Cathe's funnest weight workouts, so far.

PS. I took them of the swap as soon as I saw that WD (Diane) used them as one of her rotations. She looks fantastic. I figured I had to retry them, and must be missing something. LOL!

OMG...I just did SS upper body blast for the first time and it rocks!

I actually cursed at our dear Cathe for the first time ever! }(

I know, I love these two! As you say especially the premixes. PP 80 min. two times through is my current fave!

Body Blast Series is my favorite rotation for sure! BB workouts are different than her other videos.

Mattea, does this mean you do 160 consecutive minutes of workout?

I should get these out again. I don't know why I don't use them as often as other Cathe workouts. I do prefer the "push/pull" and "circuit" set-up to the exercises. And the premixes, IMO, are better than the workouts 'as-is' for getting a more intense workout.

I just ordered Push/pull and Supersets but haven't received it yet. After reading your post I can't wait to get it and add it to my routine. Thank you:)

I agree, the first time I did Supersets, I was sore for almost a week from those preacher curls on the stability ball!!!

The thing I like most about these is the innovative moves. She does things in these that I have never seen in her other workouts. Really hits my muscles differently, and that is so so good as y'all know.

I did Supersets Upper Body Blast premix which clocks in at an hour and it fried me. Biceps are killer in this workout, esp. when you do each exercise twice. I found it to be a very thorough workout and I love using my stability ball. I liked it better than the Push/Pull workout because there's less equipment changes.

Supersets is the unsung hero in my collection. I am currently in my week of supersets having completed a week of S&H.

I will be doing A1 x3 Mon., B1 x3 Tues, A2 x3 Thurs and B2 x3 on Fri. There's some kind of magic in working completely unrelated muscles groups with heavt weights in a superset format. Can you say "fat burning" and "muscle confusion"?

Your plan sounds great -- I may borrow it! ;)
