Red pressure spots on feet

I was just wondering if any of you ladies had experienced sort of painful, red pressure spots on your feet (for me, specifically several toes) and what, if anything you were able to do for them. They aren't terribly painful, but red, swollen, and tender. I'm sure they're from exercising and they weren't there before. I've tried two different shoes and neither seems to really have any effect. Would high impact shoe inserts help?
Any info would be greatly appreciated because I don't want them to get worse and they don't seem to want to go away, they've been there for about 2 weeks now.
Thanks,
Mattea

If the pressure spots are on the tops of your toes, shoe inserts are probably not going to make a difference. Perhaps the toe box of the shoe/shoes you have tried is too small and therefore causing the pressure. If you have access to a good athletic shoe store, go in and have them fit you. I think this is an easy fix. Good luck :)

They're not really on the top, but more like on the tips of the big toes and undersides (near the end) on several others. Would different shoes help that position? I know I have a Dick's nearby, would that qualify?
Thanks for your help, I thought some runners might have input on this

I had a similar problem and realized it was a particular pair of socks that I was wearing, not my sneakers. They were athletic socks but they were kind of on the thicker side and very soft inside so I think my foot was sliding around inside the sock...if that makes sense.
