Red Hats

It's a group of women that are 50+ that get together every month. It's my second time going to lunch with the Red Hats. One of the girls gave me a hat, so I feel I need to go. It's different, and they are all nice people. Any comments on your Red Hats. Is it really just a social thing, and thats it? I had to look deep in my closet to find something purple, that is not my favorite color. Everyone is so old. Do I really look like them? I don't think anyone exercises here. I'll find out today if anyone does.

Janie, I just posted the other day about how that Red Hat bunch drives me crazy -- lol! I say NO! you don't look like them and don't let them suck you in. :7 I honestly don't know what they're all about. The groups around here seem to drink a lot, though, and take up every friggin seat in a restaurant. They do seem to have fun, but you couldn't pay me to dress like that :7

I agree, you're way too young! I met a group of them when I was fundraising for a children's hospital. Janie, I just don't see you w/those ladies. But it is more than just a social thing--they do some really nice charitable work. Which you could also do if you joined a Junior League--do you have one locally? A much broader age range & probably more activities.........

I'm gonna have to agree with everyone here, they kind of annoy me when our paths cross and I think they look a little silly in their red hats and purple accessories. I've heard the magic age is 50 for the Red Hats but they all look way older than that to me. I don't think health and fitness has any part in what they do. I doubt you'd have a lot in common. I see you more with a tank top, runners cap kinda group

I do feel like I got suckered in. Unfortunately I have to set up a lunch get together for April. After that, I'm out of there. They are sweet ladies, but I'm not old yet.

I am a tank top sort of person, with a navel ring. If they new that, they may kick me out. UMMMM. I am over 50, but I even must say I don't look it. Don't act like it either. I'll be there soon enough, why rush it?
