Does anyone have a recumbent bike and are you satified with the results? Is it good to firm thighs and butt? the big problem areas!!!
Thanks

I have a recumbant bike. I didn't use it for a long time because I was so into my Cathe tapes. But a few months back I had some lower back trouble and started to ride it again. (I know I shouldn't have done anything at all!). It made my legs and glutes sore.

However, I don't feel I can confidently make statements about how effective it otherwise was since I didn't isolate the effects of my bike from my diet or from other exercises I may have done. But rest assured that even as an advanced exerciser, it made me sore.

I've also had an upright bike and prefer the recumbant.

I love my recumbent bike. I find it much more comfortable than the regular style.

It definately gets my thighs - especially the front. I don't know about the glutes - I also notice that when I am faithful to the bike (I somtimes slack off) my abs seem tighter.

One thing, warm up before you ride. I recently jumped on without a warmup and my quads were really upset. I couldn't even continue my workout. Now I usually do the warm up from Cathe MIS before I hop on and that seems to work well.
