I am going to have a little mom brag moment . .

My son's Jr. High 4 x 100 relay team broke the school record with a time of 50.26 eclipsing the old record of 50.40. This with a 15 mph solid wind out of the northwest and temps in the low 60's. They were so funny - they did not want to know what any of the parents up in the stands timed them in. Knowing that they won the race they wanted to wait until the time was announced on the podium. Two 8th graders and two 7th graders. Hand offs were clean and quick.

I am so glad I dragged the video recorder along . . .

Now gunning for the state record.

Whoo Hoo! congratulations on a job well done. Good luck on breaking the state record. What is the state record? Seems to me they have a good shot considering the conditions when they broke the school record.
 
State Record is . .

State Record is 49.96 set back in 1994.

This is all Lutheran Schools in the State of Michigan. The public schools do not hold state meets - the MHSAA regulates them to no end which I think is sad. Our kids can play as many basketball games as they want to schedule - this year alone 24 games. The public school kids are limited to 11 games. Same thing with track meets - they are limited but are kids run in meets all over the area. We choose not to be part of the Michigan High School Athletic Association (which also includes Jr. High).

wow, so close. let us know when they have the state meet so we can send positive vibes their way; mentally push them faster. what a great job they job.

Good for them.:) Just think how fast they'll be in high school. Our boys 4 by 1 also broke the High School record somewhere around 48.?? They are fun to watch, they make it look easy. Give your son a ^5 for me:) Kay
