Recommendations for a good spinning bike...............

Hi Ladies,

A couple of you had mentioned you have spinning bikes--I am trying to decide between joining a gym just for the spin classes or, instead, purchasing a spin bike.

Can anyone tell me a good bike to buy, approx. cost, do they like it, and what good spin tapes/dvds they have?

I have the V-bike and love it. I have ridden the Revmaster, but prefer the V-bike. Mine cost $750 a few years ago. They actually might be cheaper now as spinning has become more popular.

I only have Spinervals, but IMO they are great workouts! You might take a spin class or two as well. The music is usually awesome and a lot of people like the group motivation.

I have the V-bike also. A friend of mine has the Revmaster and I think I like hers better. I spent about the same on my V-Bike as Andrea did and agree that they may be less expensive now.

I do mostly Spinervals at home. I also have spinning workouts by Mindy Mylrea and Jay Blahnik - those are good for some variety, but I usually prefer the Spinervals.
