recomended shoes for insantiy/cathe & weight training

Hi,

For the longest time I've been wearing the New Balance 622 cross trainers. I just found out they are discontinue and can't seem to find my size anywhere on line! Do you know what Cathe wears or what you all wear for your cardio/weight training? I prefer my shoes to give me some sopport on the ankle and to be solid enough for when I do leg workouts. Thanks!
 
A cross trainer would work if you are doing HiiT, step, kickbox, etc. I followed a recommendation on this forum for the Ryka Studio Flex Low shoes.
 
I don't have anything that really gives ankle support. I wear Asics Gels. My ankle strength and knee strength improved when I took up off road jogging on a soft surface (soft packed dirt) with a lot of lateral movement. My supporting ligaments and small stabilizing muscles dramatically improved and I haven't had a turned ankle since. I used to get bad sprains/twists frequently. I thought I could never go without ankle support but after doing the off road jogging (doesn't have to be more than the couch to 5k program.) it just went away. I don't know if that would help solve the root of the problem.
 
I just bought the Asics Gel Upshot crosstrainers. I really like the cushioning plus support they give me. I tried the Ryka's that Cathe & crew are wearing in the new DVD series, but they didn't have enough cushioning for me.
