Hi everyone.......I do all sorts of cardio.....spinning, steps, running, kick box, hi/low...etc ....and trying to find something new to rotate in. I have been reading a bit about ramping and rebounding. Has anyone tried either....and if so....which was seems more beneficial?? Raises the heart rate more or more of a challenge?? And is Power Yoga worth looking into?? I'm a hardcore exerciser...thats why I love Cathe so much...shes a challenge and I can't wait for her new series. Thanks for any info anyone can offer.

Hello,

IMHO, ramping is easy unless you have a great instructor who puts in intervals (think IMAX) to get the heartrate up. I consider myself advanced and I find ramping easy even with intervals.

Power Yoga (Ashtanga Yoga) is definitely worth the time and money. I take 1.5 hour classes once a week and they are cardiovascular workout as well as a flexibility workout. Love it. PS Classes are muchhhhh better than a tape, but some tapes are okay too.

Rebounding...sorry I have no idea.

Hope this helps,
Suzanne

Thanks Suzanne for the info. I think I'll pass on the ramping....doesn't sound like much of a challenge. I know rebounding is done with a mini trampoline..and they do offer tapes...curious how that all works. I definitley will look into the power yoga stuff. I've done Pilates and have never found it to be much of a challenge. The flexibility stuff is nice but I just think I'm looking for a bit more and someone had mentioned Power Yoga. I will have to look in my area to see if classes are offered. You were very helpful....thank-you!

Rebounding! I love it. Rebounding is always my first choice for cardio because it's so much fun and easy on the joints. That's my vote.

Ramping is fun once in awhile for a change, but you DO have to add in some intervals or something to get a decent workout.

Rebounding is FUN, FUN, FUN! And VERY beneficial to your health. You can make it fairly easy on a headache day & quite intense when you're up for it.

HIGHLY recommended!
