Dear Cathites,
I would like to ask a favor of you...There is a young friend who lives in Erie, Pennsylvania has been given an assignment by her teacher to retrieve a postcard from each of the 50 states.
This is an assignment geared to the class to learning more about their country with a more personal approach.
I know this sounds like an insane assignment for anyone to do since noone knows people who live in all fifty states, but nevertheless I feel obliged to help. That's why I'm posting this on this board, I know there are tons of women doing Cathe workouts all around the country and reading this board too, and I thought, if you're the same as me, you like to help people in as many ways as possible. If one person sends one postcard to her, imagine the number of postcards she would recieve, from all fifty states, and it would be exciting to see how many people have this same heart. It would be very exciting for that little girl to recieve hundreds of postcards in the mail, all addressed to her! Not only would she feel special, but it would also be like a treasure hunt for her to search for all 50 states through the postcards....
So...if you're interested in helping, all you have to do is contact me at this address- [email protected] and I'll give you her address, since I don't want to post it on the internet, you understand.... Then write her address on a postcard, and explain a little bit about your state, and where you live, to give her and her class more personal information about their country. Then just drop it in the box! I don't know when the end due date is, so just keep sending 'em if you feel moved to.
I hope many people respond, as I think this would be an exciting thing for her, and a great way for her and her class to learn!
P.S. If you do send one, please reply to this post with which state you sent it from and what ever else you'd like to say...
