Ready for CCPP

Leave it to me to turn anything I do into a project. I slept with my HRM on, and got my RHR. I followed Coach Sean's formulas, and now have my HR chart. It's based on my age and RHR. I'm just posting it in case anyone else is doing this and wants to compare zones. For those in the know, does this look pretty normal for a 51-yr. old intermediate exerciser?

Percent Rate Zone
100 169 Highest 4
95 164 High 4
85 153 High 3 - Begin 4
75 142 High 2 - Begin 3
65 131 High 1 - Begin 2
55 120 Begin 1

I received the CCPP email from Coach Sean today, and will be downloading it shortly. I'm pretty excited! :D

ROTFLMAO!! Nance, that's we we love you:+

I've never bothered to calculate my actual HR zones -- I just use that 220 - your age thing. I'm 52 and the numbers you came up with are very close to my mine. I think my max is 161 or 162, but if I'm feeling good I usually allow my HR to go higher. HTH:*

I've never calculated my heart rate zones either. I just push until it feels about right. Or until I'm about to die, if he calls for zone 4 :p

I know you guys are right, because the website says "perceived exertion" is the best way to determine your zones. But I don't trust my physical perceptions, and without my guide, knowing me, I'd lose interest in 5 minutes. Hey, I never said I was normal. :p

Nance, I use a HR monitor, too, but if my HR exceeds the range limits and I still feel okay, I don't scale back my effort. I use it mainly as a guide.

I'm sending CC PP vibes your way!! I can't wait to hear what you think about it.
