Re: Retin A -0.05%

Hi everyone ;o) Could you please, share your good and bad experience with me. I just started on this medication a week ago for my acne. Man oh man did it have my skin looking kind of bad, but looking much better today. However, I have heard you go through the bad before reeping the good.

Also, I have heard that Retin A is good for winkles can someone share......do you use or can you use this medication under your eyes. Thank you.

Hey Teddygirl,

How are you girlfriend????:)

I have used this and it did wonders for my acne. I had to taper down to only one application a week after I had used it for a couple of weeks because of redness and irritation. I believe it actually sloughs off skin cells and once most of the outer layer is off, the medicine can irritate more.

I use Renova now. Same medicine but in a moisturizing base. It has been a miracle medicine for me.

Hope it works as well for you :)

I use it on occasion for clogged pores. Typically I'll start out using it once a day every other day & then increase the frequency after about a week or so to prevent that burning & irritation. Also I'm sure your dr. has already told you to avoid UV exposure.

Anyway, it's worked miracles for my pores. Nothing for my wrinkles though. :-(
