I wonder if anyone else has noticed that there is quite often less activity on the forums on Thursdays. I wonder what it is about Thursday? Where is everyone on Thursday?

I finally realized yesterday that it's probably far too late in my life to fulfill my dream of being a dancer. Time to hang up the pointe shoes and move on. If the National Ballet hasn't called by now, they aren't likely to

I often see people when I'm out and wonder if they actually look at their rear view in the mirror before leaving the house. Thinking further about this, I became aware that I don't often check my rear view in the mirror before I go out. In the words of Hermione from Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban "Is that REALLY what my hair looks like from the back?".

People are incredible creatures. The ones you think will let you down are there for you long after the dust settles, and the ones you thought you could count on forever leave at the first sign of trouble.

Okay Limey - I'll bite

I haven't noticed Thursday activity per se, but there is some direct correlation between when I'm super chatty and no one is on the boards to talk...hmmmm.

Even if the Nat'l Ballet hasn't called, who's to stop you from breaking out Flashdance style in your house? Heck, do it naked. It's more fun

Sometimes I think people don't look in any mirrors, let alone the rearview. I'll leave it at that.

Here's some rambling from me.

Thursdays suck. You're exhausted from the work week, but you know you still have one more full day of work to go.

Why do the flabby, nasty people at the gym wear really revealing clothes, but the people in great shape dress conservatively?

Why can't I stay awake past 9:00 pm? I've tried & tried, but for the last few weeks I crash on my couch by 9:00. I've tried to watch Rome twice & missed it both times. I tried to watch Bill Mahr twice & missed it both times. I think he might be on tonight at 8:00, so maybe I'll get lucky. x(

Why do I have to work to pay my mortgage? Isn't there an easier way?

Why does everything healthy taste like sh-t, & everything unhealthy taste so delicious?

Why can't my boss work more than 4 hours a day? It sure would make my job a lot easier.

Thursday is my day off, so I usually check the boards more on Thursday than any other day. But, I'm not a big "poster", so I don't contibute much to the overall activity.

Why do we all work so hard to "make a living", yet have so little time to do the things we really enjoy (ie LIVE)?

Why do people get more hair as they get older on parts of their body that they don't want hair?

Why does time go by so quickly? I mean, how can it be October already? What happened to the first 9 months of the year?

Why do I always feel the need to have answers to questions that really have no answers?

I haven't noticed less activity on the forums on Thursdays. As I can't post from work, by the time I log on for the day there are pages to catch up on.

Heck Shelly - I think you should take up pole dancing and put a pole in your house. It's the latest exercise craze and could have some very welcome side effects}( }( !

Thursday Thoughts

Why is it someone always wants the treadmill I'm on when there's an entire row of free ones that are exactly like it ? They're not broken and they have TVs right infront of them too. What makes mine so special that they have to hover or ask me " How much longer ? " or " Did you sign up? There's a 30 minute limit!" Then when I give it to them and hop on to the one right next to it, they get on the treadmill and last 15 minutes.

WHY?

That's funny yet sad about the treadmill - - most likely it happens because some people get so wrapped around the axle about the "Rules" that they throw out common sense. I have a similar experience with parking. There are 25 empty spaces and someone will call in a complaint about the one car that is parked in the same spot for more than 48 hours. WTF?!?!?!

I have a Thursday theory. My phone rings off the damn hook on Thursday. I hate talking on the phone. I hate talking on the phone on Thursday in particular because, by the time Thursday rolls around, I realize I have too much sh*t to get finished by the end of the next day and I cannot be spending my time talking on the phone. So my theory is that people aren't posting on the forums on Thursday's because that is their "let's call everyone on the damn phone" day.

I think, as far as your dancing dreams are concerned -- that you should point those National Ballet folks to the picture I have of you in my picture trail. If that doesn't show your strength and grace, I don't know what will.

I look at my a$$ all the time. Who would walk out the door without looking? I have to constantly check to see that it has not grown beyond normal proportions -- that I'm not exhibiting panty issues -- that I do not have a huge hole in my trousers -- NAH...I'm just obsessed with my a$$.
