I received this and did this today.Thank you for whomever mentioned her another good choice. Not too challenging (I did Imax 2 this morning). It was a perfect follow up. More new and different poses. You use 2 blankets for 2 final poses. She does floating moves I had a bit of trouble with those too. Hubby came and shut the door he did not care for the music. I was listening to her cue so I didn't pay attention to it.

All I have to say I previewed her Dawn (YOWZA) I can not even imagine the other 3 pure power, pure sweat and whatever the other is. I am in trouble when I get them and I want to know which of you can do all her poses. How long did it take you? I don't know that I will ever have the upper body strength to hold my whole body up.

i have never done her dusk or dawn practices but had gotten pure power and pure sweat from netflix. i personally didn't find them overally hard but i practice a lot also. these are more faster paced yoga with lots of sun salutations and vinyasas with some balance work like tree and pose of the dancer(i forgot what she called it but that is how i know it as).believe me the more you do these workouts the easier they will get over time.

I love Rainbeau and Dusk and Dawn are two of my favorite practices for those days when I need something to make me feel better cuz I'm down about life!

They are not taxing on the body at all, but not gentle enough to be considered Restorative yoga. I find them to be a perfect balance between just a touch of effort and lots of relaxation.

Furthermore, Dusk serves to really get those knots out of the back of my head, and then moves into all of those hip openers......finishing in plough and finally shoulderstand to redistribute the blood after getting all of those toxins out of those tight, stressed hip joints. I never use the blanket for shoulderstand and do full shoulderstand, as it's one of my favorite poses.

Dawn is always a favorite to do when I'm having stomach/GI distress...as all of the twisting and stomach pumping really aide in fixing any stomach issues! I can't tell you how many times this DVD has helped my GI system. The twists feel good and she really gets into the hamstrings and quads with some of the stretches.

I'm shocked your DH didn't like the music. It is some of my favorite yoga music.....so much that I emailed Rainbeau to ask her about the soundtrack and bought the CD so I could play it with other yoga DVDs I have.

I don't really find any of the postures in Dusk/Dawn to be that difficult.......but in the out-takes when they show her practicing on her own............that's way over my head.

I'm glad you're enjoying these. Don't forget about the 10 minute bonus premix options on each DVD which are great for days when you are time crunched but want a little yoga boost!!

Beth,

The advanced poses on the cover of the Pure Series by Rainbeau are not in the routines. The routines are very achievable for anyone who can do a pushup.

Pure Tranquility is a luxurious stretch session. Really gets the tight spots. Great after cardio or weight training, or even after one of the other sessions in the series.

Pure Power and Pure Sweat are strength building. The pace is slow so you can really get into each pose and work on form. She cues these very well.

I have forgotten about the Vinyasa one as it has been a long while since I did it.
