quick computer help for computer nerd?

I got a new computer and things have been running smoothly until tonight. I use hotmail, and have been having no problems, but tonight when trying to login, I get the following message:

Windows Live ID requires JavaScript to sign in. This web browser either does not support JavaScript, or scripts are being blocked.

To find out whether your browser supports JavaScript, or to allow scripts, see the browser's online help.

I made no changes, just logged off last night and then logged on tonight, I've been to the online help, and searched as many other places I can think of, but can't figure it out. Anyone? Thanks,

Brandi,

If your browser is Internet Explorer, please try this:
From the menu select Tools > Internet Options > Security > Internet > Custom Level > Scripting > Active Scripting > Enable > OK > OK.

Active Scripting is quite low on the list, so you will ned to scroll a bit.
