Question re: DOMS and walking lunges

Cathe and educated crowd,

I did PLB yesterday and am sore today - not so sore I can barely walk, but sore enough that I can feel it when I do a walking lunge. My first question is should I go ahead and push through the soreness to do the 300 walking lunges today? Or, wait and do them tomorrow? Second question is will I get equal results if I do the walking lunges in one spot - meaning I don't have much space, so just doing alternating step forward lunges?

Thanks for your knowledge and experience.

Hi RhiannonW! The first week is the "break in" week and many will tend to get exceptionally sore due to this. It would be absolutely fine to make adjustments around this kind of soreness for the first week. If this is the case, simply extend the rotation for an exra week. Make sure to sleep hard and drink plenty too. This will work wonders for your muscle recovery.

Re: walking lunges...Any time you change an exercise slightly, you will change how it effects the muscle slightly. Overall though, any lunge works the glutes in a good way, and thats a fact :7
