Question on elliptical trainers

I have the Lifefitness X5i which allows you to change your stride from 18, 20, 22 and 24 inches. That's what sold me on it. By changing the stride it really makes a difference from the walk of 18 inches to run of 24 inches.

I love this machine, its smooth and quiet and the screen is an amazingly clear LED readout. Not to mention the programs the X5 has.

Thanks Angie. Since I live in a remote area we don't have gyms so I have been a home workout "addict" for 8 years. I am a 911 dispatcher so I sit for 12 hrs a day and work odd hours, so I need something to do at home at my convenience. I was so amazed at the tough workout the elliptical was. I really appreciate all the input I have received here. I knew I could get great info from the great people here!!

Thanks. The elliptical at the hotel was a Lifefitness machine. It was wonderful. Smooth stride and didn't bother my knees at all. I was soaking wet sweatty in 30 minutes. I had programmed some type of workout, I think it was a 30 min total body workout. It kicked my butt, and I thought I was in pretty good shape. I workout to Cathe 5-6 days a week! I am going to look into the Lifefitness web site.

Thanks Melanie. I never thought to check ebay either. I am not much of an ebay fan, had a really bad experience, but will check them out.
