QUESTION: I am losing weight with less exercising ?!?!...

(This is my first post! :) )
My question/story is: I have been working out consistently (with Cathe of course) for about a year and a half. I lost about 30 pounds in the first 6 months (exercising and watching what I eat, particularly limiting my sugar intake). I remained constant for this past year -- hoping of course to lose another 10-15 pounds but just remaining constant (better than gaining I suppose!). Anyway, in the past 3 weeks or so my schedule has been so hectic that my workouts have drastically decreased, not to mention my eating habits have not been as good either. Strange thing is, I have lost 4-5 pounds in these past few weeks. Now of course this will not be my new lifestyle since I feel horrible when I am not working out, but if you could please tell me Cathe why this is happening. I am not losing muscle this quickly, am I? Do you think I was not eating enough when I was working out consistently? I guess my ultimate question is: why am I losing weight now that I am not working out regularly (and not eating as well) than when I was working out 5-6 days a week? (I did, of course, make time to do all your new DVD's though -- which are awesome by the way (and challenging!)). Looking forward to your reply. Thanks! Kim

Not Cathe, but I have seen several posts on this and quite a few people have stated that when you are working out very hard and you hit a long plateau, add about 200 calories to your diet and you will start to lose again. I am guessing that your body had a chance to shift out of survival mode and allowed you to lose weight when you were working out less. That said, don't add calories if your workouts are reduced, only if you are working out at an intense level. Hope that helps!
