Question for Sheila

Hi Sheila,
I am reading anything and everything that I can get my hands on about labor & delivery, c-sections, etc. I am kinda confused; can you tell me if brow presentation and face presentation are the same thing?

Hello,

Usually the crown of the baby's head is the presenting part. According to a doula friend of mine, brow and face presentations are different. To put it simply, a brow presentation means just that. The brow is the presenting part whereas in a face presentation you see the face or most of it as the presenting part. Hope this makes sense.
