When you say doing Pyramids endurance style, does that mean that whatever exercise is being done, you go straight through for the entire set - I guess that would be around 50 reps per exercise. Your rest periods are the time it takes to FF??
If this is correct, what is the reasoning for doing it this way??

Thanks for answering

Hi twosquared, I used to use PLB for bulking up. I got to the point where I was getting bulkier in my lower body than my upper. I'm already pear shaped and I didn't like the result. So I decided to use PLB for endurance where the rest periods are minimal, like in LL. I got this idea after reading all the threads on freestyling, which some ladies here do to lean out their legs. Due to knee issues, I can't work out my lower body every day, but when I do, I work it hard, and this is one way for me to do it. Yes, my rest periods are the time it takes to fast-forward, and yes, it's 52 reps per set (except for that mean superset of squats and plies}( ). Like I said, I use light to moderate weight, between 50%-70% of my max. Whatever weights I use mostly depends on how I feel that day AND how I worked my lower body the week before, because there are some weeks where I shock my body by doing it real heavy, and also to make sure my legs keep their strength. I hope this answers your question. If you want to talk about it some more, you're welcome to send me an e-mail. Have a great day.:)

Hi Pinky

Can I barge in for a quick question... so you use the same weight for the 52 reps or do you still use the pyramid approach just using lighter weights?

I may have to try this. Thanks in advance.

Nancy

Hi Nancy, I use the pyramid approach, just using lighter weights. I use a combination of db's and a bb to make fast switches.

I haven't tried using the same weight for all reps. You know, you just gave me an idea.:)
