Question for Mac users

In the mailbox feature...

All of my emails a month old are getting deleted! Is there any way to change that setting? I just discovered it deleted my plane tickets! I poked around but I can't find anything to edit that. If anyone can help I would sure appreciate it!

Thanks!

I know it can be done because my MacBook saves all mine unless I delete them. I will ask DH when he gets home and hopefully get you answer on how to set it up. Do you have a lap top or a desk top? Are you using mobileme for your mail or something else?

In the preference setting for mail there is an option to select what time frame you want your email to be automatically deleted. You can selelct never as an option also. You also have the option to move any email that you select to the saved folder and the selected email wlll be saved on your Mac. Hope that this helps.

Go to mail preferences. Click the accounts icon and then the Mailbox Behaviors. You'll find it there. :)

Thanks, ladies! I knew I could count on you!

I did what you said, Rhondalyn. It listed "permanently erase deleted messages when"... I changed it from "30 days" to "Never".

So....if I read an email but just let it sit in my mailbox does Mac consider that a "deleted" email, even if I haven't specifically deleted it?

thanks again!

It's not deleted unless you delete it. Glad you got it figured out. :D
