Tell your girlfriend thank you. I have some of my rotations over at fitnessvideofanatics.com. I usually work out 6 days a week. One hour or maybe a little more on cardio and when training heavy I do two times a week each body part. When I do endurance I try and do 3 times a week. Right now I am doing the Slow & Heavy once each workout and then the Pyramids once each workout. I am doing I Max extreme on Saturdays and various other cardios during the week.
As for eating I try keep my diet lower in fat and sodium. I also avoid most starches. One day a week I may eat a bowl of whole wheat pasta. I am not real strict with my eating. Like today I had cottage cheese for breakfast. Then I had a large salad with lowfat dressing and salsa mixed together on it and an apple for lunch. Dinner was two chicken breasts, mixed vegetables fixed with light sour cream and Mrs. Dash.
