Question For Any Drs. or Nurses

I would like to know what you suggest my next step should be. I have had ear infection since Feb 13th. My dr. has put me on zithromax, a diuretic, sea sickness patches and omnipen which I am allergic to penicillian so I stopped taking it thought it was making things worse, sudafed 30mg every 4hrs. which I have now stopped and I am taking 75-100mg of meclizine every 4hrs. and my ears hurt to lay on them and I am still getting dizzy when I lay down or look up. At this point I have little faith in my physician and want to know what my next plan of action should be should I make an appt. with an ent? Your advice is greatly appreciated.

cant type much right now - nursing in the dark...but i would run to a chiro! your neck is out & affecting the blood flow to your head,

hope you get some relief!

I have also heard that a chiro can also help w/tinnitus, do you think that is also true. I am kind of skeptical.

What is an "ent"? What type of ear infection do you have?

Hmmm, I've only had good experiences with a chiropractor.

I am assuming an ent is an ear, nose and throat specialist.

ENT stands for Ears, Nose and Throat. There are ENT Dr.'s.

ENT and possiby suggest "swimmer's ear" type of antibiotic drops while you wait for your appt.

Can't say enough good things about my son's ENT. He had chronic ear infections as a child. ENT solved the problem. I took my son back to him when he was 18 years old for nose bleeds, ENT fixed him right up.
