Hi everyone,

DH and I are TTC. I went off the pill about 3 months ago and gained about 5 pounds. I did not change anything on my eating or exercise less when normal. It seems like my tummy became a little drupe, did that happen to any of you when you first got off the pill?
I don't like it x( and I don't know how to loose those 5 pounds (not that I am going to gain any weight while I am pregnant ;-) )

Thank you so much in advance and I can't wait to join you all on this forum.

Kristine :)

Kristine, congrats on going off pill & TTC! I"m sorry, I don't have any advice concerning your wt gain & going off pill. People react so differently to hormone changes. ;)

HI!!
That didn't happen to me but MAYBE YOUR PREGNANT! I got the poochie when I was totally working out like normal and off the pill and was like what's the deal, and I was ;-) Like 8 weeks!
Good luck and keep us posted.

I don't think you are pregnant but then again maybe you could be. I went off the pill two months ago and I have actually been eating better lately and I noticed that after the first few weeks of getting off the pill, I gained about 5 pounds also. I alwasy stay steady with my weight but ever since I got off the pill I have gained that weight too and my stomach has more of a pooch now too. I know I am not pregnant because my husband had a vasectomy two years ago and I finally decided to get off the pill. I had him get tested again before I went off of it just to make sure and they said everything was good to go. So I don't know, it may be just our bodies getting our hormones on track again. I hope I can get this weight off though. It's making me crazy!!! Good luck!

Hi -- the same thing happened to me when I went off the pill to conceive my daughter (she'll be three in May) and now it's happening again as we are trying for another baby.

I don't think it's the pill necessarily but more our bodies adjusting to the shift in hormones. I'm not an expert, but I know that it takes some women (like me) three months for the artificial hormones to leave their systems. That may be all it is.
