Question about the step...

I'm anxious to order my first Cathe video, but the only step I have are the FIRM steps (a shorter box and also their 14" box). Any chance I can use these in Cathe's videos? If not, then can someone give me some advice on purchasing a step like what to look for/avoid? I have a resale store for fitness equipment nearby, so I have the option of possibly buying a used step also. Are they expensive new?

I'm looking forward to trying out a new tape. I've been doing the FIRM off and on for about 8 years now. I've read all kinds of fantastic things about Cathe's videos. This is a great site also!

Thanks for the input--

do you have a Sam's Club nearby?

Kristen, you are really going to need a bigger step to do Cathe's vids. . . I have the Firm's tall box so I know the size the Firm steps are and I am just afraid you would injure yourself trying to do some of Cathe's big active movements on that little step! Do you live near a Sam's Club?? They have the BIG Step Co step clearancing out for $40 (they're normally about $85). Hope you can get one! -susan p

Sports Authority

I believe my husband got my step for me at The Sports Authority, and I think it was around $60-$65. Definitely well worth any price you pay for it.

Definitely...get the Step Co step!

There simply is no comparison! Susan is right, you are likely to seriously injury yourself if you attempt a Cathe tape with the FIRM's step. You will enjoy the workout 100% more with a full length step.

I just picked up an extra Step Co step at Play Again Sports with SIX risers. I paid like $30 for it. A few people have mentioned they are available at Sam's for a great price. Good luck in your hunt!!
