question about Step Heat

Hi everyone,
I am new to CAthe, but I have been doing The Firm for yrs. I consider myself an upper-intermediate/ lower-advanced exerciser. My first video was Max. Int. Strength. I loved it! Anyway, I am wondering if Step Heat is a good cardio workout. The total time is attractive to me, since I am always tight on time, but I don't want it if it compromises the benefit of the workout. I am also looking for how it compares to the Firm's all-cardio videos like Tough Aerobic Mix. I have that one, and it would be a good basis for comparison. Thanks.

Hi--Step Heat was the first step video of Cathe's I tried. It's an excellent aerobic workout. Not being too terribly coordinated (despite my short legs/low center of gravity), I was worried that I'd have trouble w/the choreography. I was pleasantly surprised that I caught on to all of it--save the last segment--the first time. It took me a couple times before I could master the heel-toe, hop turn, jack. I highly recommend that you get Step Heat--try it and you'll be purchasing Cathe's entire catalogue!! Sorry I can't objectively compare SH w/the Firm stuff. Good luck. Suzanna

I've been a Firm user for years and recently bought Step Heat, Power Max, Mega Step Blast, Cardio Kicks and Interval Max. I really like MegaStep Blast and Step heat (haven't had the chance to try the rest, but I have viewed them and they look fun too!!). Both Step Heat and MegaStep Blast are high intensity workouts with some hi-impact on the step, but are fairly easy to follow (I did MegaStep Blast the first time all of the way thru without any rewinds!! Step Heat was alittle more challenging, but alot of fun.). I would say that the intensity of the videos is similar to Tough Aerobic Mix, but different because its done on the step, and you have so much fun doing them that you don't even realize that you've worked up a sweat until its running down your face!!

Hope this helps:)
