Question about Ryka shoes

Hi, everyone! Can those of you who have worn Ryka shoes and New Balance shoes tell me if Ryka runs about the same as New Balance. For example, if you wear a 10 in New Balance then you also do in Ryka (as a general rule, I know different styles of shoes within a brand can run differently as well).

I tried on a pair of Ryka a few years ago and if I remember right I thought that they ran small.

I've never owned a pair of New Balance. I have owned several pairs of Ryka and they do run small. I normally wear a 6 shoe/boot and 6.5 crosstrainers but yesterday I picked up a new pair of Rykas and they're a size 7. Time before yesterday I foolishly picked up a pair of 6.5 Rykas (the store had no size 7). Since I wear thin socks I figured the 1/2 size wouldn't make a big difference and I also thought they'd "loosen up". They never "loosened up" to the point wear they felt comfortable on me so my sister is the benefactor of that purchase. I give a lot of credit to the gals who order their shoes on line! I have to put them on in the store and walk around and do some lunges before I buy! Good Luck!

I actually just switched from Ryka's to New Balance, I wore a size 10 in Ryka's and I ended up with a size 8 men's (which is a 10 in womens) in the New Balance but I also had orthotics to put in them. So while Rykas do run small, New Balance may not run as small but I still took the same size in them as the Rykas.

Hi Denise,

I usually switch between Ryka Enlight's & New Balance 609's. I buy the same size for both. These two styles have the same fit IMO. I am not quite sure about the other styles because I tend to just buy these two.
